Val Gal Day

Happy Galentine's Day! This is a term I just learnt, thanks to my star colleague Nur. From what I could gather, it's an excuse to celebrate your best gal pals, and Nur did this by providing chocolate muffins for breakfast. A great start to the day.. topped off by a romantic dinner by the beach (with my husband).

Valentine's Day is a pretty silly day really. Poor Mark, on our first VD together, he went all out with a teddy, flowers and chocolate. I promptly scoffed, and said it was all unnecessary. The following year I got a box of Favourites wrapped in a grey coles plastic bag. This was possibly the best present ever received!!
