I'm not sure if I'm getting old and boring.. or older and wiser.. but my new year celebrations consisted of a round of mini golf, a winery, and about 8 hours of trival pursuit. It is a game I have always wanted to play, but a) did never have the courage to put one's intelligence on the line and b) didn't actually own the game to play it! Anyhow, the stars aligned as five of us spent a very hilarious few hours testing each other's general knowledge. Did you know octopi have three hearts... and someone who studies thunder is called a Brontologist.
Alas, I was not the game's victor, but I'm very pleased to say I earnt 5 pieces to the pie... and woke up not groggy and tired, but armed with many dinner party conversation starters. This bode well for my next morning early start, off to the flower markets to carefully select blooms for Ms Michala and Mr Kade's beautiful wedding. As you can from my quality iPhone snaps, roses, hydrangea and protea's featured heavily. I can't wait to see the formal photos.. but in the meantime, you'll have to settle for the photos from New Idea.
