Marking my adventure to north west Australia, this week's posts will target the predominant sex observed in these parts, men. Upon arrival at the airport I was an obvious minority.. surrounded by fluro clad, steel capped boot stomping and beer gutted men.
A few days into my stay it became clear that during their time off, these guys would not sit idle, rather go fishing, hunting, jet skiing, play rugby and camping. Now, I'd be first to point out that we women participate in all these activites, but given the disproportionate balance of the sexes, I've decided to focus on an activity these guys would do more of because there are just more of them here: camping.
This post uses pictures are from an awesome little company I found this week called Best Made Co. Originally introducing quality handcrafted axes onto the market, they diversified in 2010 and haven't looked back.. napsacks, elkskin mittens, sharpening stones, badges, authentic maple syrup and teeny tiny matchstick holders, these guys have your highbrow camping needs.
